Baby Taylor's Photo Shoot

Baby Taylor on her Mothers shoulder, always a nice and content place to be.

Baby Taylor on her Fathers arm of traditional Samoan Family tattoo and a Pacific Island touch of frangipani flower.
In the weekend I had the pleasure of photographing 5 week old baby Taylor. She was so adorable. As usual babies don not work around us, we work around them and their schedule. So after a nap, a feed and a burp we were ready to shoot. I was quite amazed that she could hold her head up, a very strong little girl. She would give the cutest quirky looks that made me laugh, then realising that I should've captured that...darn it!. But I just couldn't stop looking at her, it almost made me think of having another baby myself. I love taking photos of children, you've really got to have the patience in waiting for that right moment, because they could give you a smile that only lasts a second. Thank you Taylor for being so patient with me and everyone else that was around you on the day. xxx

Trial and Error

What can I say! Adobe Lightroom 4 and HDR Efex Pro are AMAZING! These programs have brought new meaning to my photographs. Just the vibrance and life is shows is incredible. Pictures are enhanced in a way as you see it with your own eyes out there in the real world. The colours so more life like and the reflection off water is great, like I said in how you would see it with your own eyes. It definately takes away the dull look. Its something I wish I got earlier.

Video Clip for Johnny & Emma Wedding

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZG_EwLt5tO4&feature=g-upl

It's been a busy couple of days, editing and making video clips. I love doing things like this, I love the expression and emotions when people see something so beautiful put together. Like I've always said repeatedly, photos are a stand still in time moment. You look at photos and for a instance time has frozen to capture the image. If I could I would be taking photos of the people I love every 5 seconds. And so anyways I put this video clip together of my dear friends. Everyone deserves to have great photos.

Currumbin Beach Sculpture Display

WOW! I waited patiently for the sun to set to get this art piece at its best.

A couple hugging and people walking past in my shot but how awesome is that view of the Gold Coast CBD in the distance.

We had two choices of destinations today and we opted to check out the Currumbin Beach Sculpture displays. It was AMAZING!. The hard work thought out and then created by each artist was very mind blowing. Thumbs up to each individual. These photo's taken were my favourites of the vast pieces displayed. There were so many people there, I found myself waiting ever so patiently to try and get photos without people in the background and I think I did well. It was halerious at times having children wanting to jump in front of my camera and then hearing their parents abruptly telling them to move out of my way. I would just say "It's okay" and smile.

It was such a great Family day out!

Johnny & Emma sealing their vows of love and commitment

Our dear friends Johnny and Emma tied the knot on Thursday 13th September 2012. This day was a long time coming. It was such a beautiful celebration seeing the most loving couple unite their love for each other in front of their son, parents, families and friends. My husband and I first met Johnny and Emma back in early 2009, they had moved into the apartment next door to us, so we were neighbours and ever since then we have been very good friends. I remember that afternoon when she came next door and shared with me her excitement, Johnny's proposal and that huge shiny diamond ring. What a happy day it was for her. But their wedding day was definately a day to remember and a day they have both been waiting for. We wish them both all the happiness and love and know that this is only the start of a marriage made in heaven.

Your presence is always positive and genuine, your smile radiates from a mile away, you trully are a blessing in my life and I thank you for that. May you and Johnny live a happy and prosperous marriage filled with all the Love this World has to offer.

Night Shots of the clear Heavens

I woke up at 3am on Sunday morning and couldn't go back to sleep for some reason, so then I headed out in our backyard and took some shots of the clear beautiful sky and the ever so bright moon that early morning. It trully was a crisp starry night.

A letter to my late Grandmother

Dear Mama Hina Kauta Marsters,
there is never a day that goes by that I don't think of you and on this day the 3rd of September I would usually ring to say Happy Birthday Nanna. Well I can't ring you anymore and that's okay because you've left me with so many good and fond memories. Thank you Nanna for always being a good grandmother, loving me unconditionally and my favourite, for always dressing me up in the prettiest dresses. I miss you so much.

Love Always
Your forever grateful Grand-daughter xx

Our Daughters' plan for Fathers' Day

I am so exhausted from our days activities that our daughter had planned for her fathers' day out and about. She woke up and made her Daddy his coffee, not that it was the best but it's the thought that counts. Then with a huge smile brought his present for him to open. Last year she bought him a mini tool kit, because he's an automotive technician, a flasher title for a mechanic. So as he opened it he gave a big cheer saying "How did you know, I wanted a coffee cup with Number 1 Dad in the World and a pen with You're the BEST Daddy!". She was so thrilled that her father loved her present.

We then headed out to the Spit for lunch and a relax by the sea. There were so many people there, it was a great atmosphere, seeing children fishing with their fathers, playing pass the ball etc. Today I let our daughter take photos with my new camera. I've always allowed her to handle my past camera's and today she was excited. And guess who was her subject, you guessed it, her Daddy. She loved it, telling her Daddy how to sit, where to look, by the way did I mention she wants to one day be a movie director, well she's got the directing part down pact. It was a pleasant and enjoyable day with my two favourite people in the whole World.

Our daughter Mereani took this photo of her Daddy

My daughter Mereani took this photo of me.

Mereani took this photo of us, her photo skills are as good as Mummys (hahaha!)

So before heading off to bed, she thanked her Dad for allowing her to take photos of him, as he is very camera shy, gave him the biggest hug and kisses and said "Thank you for being the best Dad! I love you so much!!".
