Mereani and I were fortunate to stay an extra week in New Zealand due to my niece Munokoa's 21st birthday. It was a celebration that I would,'t have missed for the world. My parents (her granduncle & grandaunt) along with myself and my siblings also raised her as our own. This day has been long awaited for. She has achieved so much in her life with her dancing career and now she's studying to be a teacher. We are so proud of her. Family is always and foremost important to us.

Guy Forks with the Davids

My family love Guy Forks night in New Zealand. Its just as cool and fun as Christmas time.

Portrait Photos

I absolutely love taking photos of people, for some reason it fascinates me. I love the expressions on their faces and just how they are feeling at the time I guess. Its amazing how much a photo can tell a person. Tought to touch these ones up a little. I took these photos about 6 years ago of my family members.

I Just Love Weddings

I was up late last night in fact into the earlier hours of the morning still editing photos etc when it dawned on me that this was not good. Its better to do work with a clear and more observant mind. So I switched everything off and went to bed, glad that I did.

I was touching up on these photos, I just love weddings! xx

Photos' of my daughter put into a video clip

I put this video memory disc together after Our daughters 10th birthday in Jan this year. All photos taken by me over the first 10 years of her precious Life. Children are a gift given to Parents and they should always be treasured for eternity.

A Mother & Daughters' Photo Adventures

I had always wanted to have a daughter, not saying that I prefer girls over boys, its just the thought of doing girlie things with a mini me. I remember so clearly my husband and I's first scan appointment, where we were told our baby had burger buns (ha ha ha) my husband was in disbelief as he was expecting a boy. But in saying that, the day she was born and he held her for the very first time, she had her father wrapped around her little finger.

She is her father, through and through, attitude, features and a huge loving heart. She isn't too much into sports activities as I was as a child into my adolescence, however she loves reading, writing and generally anything to do with learning other skills as cooking, sewing etc, a real down to earth type of girl.

She loves anything I love, in fact she took her first photo when she was only 2 years of age. I taught her how to firstly care for a camera e.g. to always put the strap around her neck, so that if she was to accidentally drop it, it won't fall to the ground if the safety strap is around her neck. This lesson is an automatic thing she does.

I then taught her how to focus on a subject and just take photos of that for a while. So then she chose her feet. So for a while she took photos of her feet (ha ha ha) but because of that lesson, its got her in the habit to not take a photo until she can see that it is focused or how she wants to see the end outcome of the photo.

I'm glad I taught her at a very young age to have a respect for a camera, no matter if it be an expensive to a inexpensive camera. She loves taking photos, just the other day, she was showing me her photos on her DSI on a slide show with background music and I began to tear up because she had photos that she had taken 3 years ago and I was surprised she hadn't deleted them, so now I've got myself having to find a way to download her photos onto the family computer, so I can print them out.

I'm happy to say that I've left a part of me with her and that is "Photos tell a story and they should be treasured for Life"
