If there's one thing I've always had a passion for and that's Landscape Art, whether it be Painting or Photography. I used to watch my mothers dear friend paint landscapes when I was a young girl and had a fascination over how patient she was with a paint brush in her hand. She would include the finest of details in the shadow of a tree, reflection on the water from the skies or mountains and it just looked mind boggling beautiful. She was much older than my mother and when she passed on she left her paintings for Mum.
She would say to me "You know Hina, an artists emotions are reflected in their work". And how true she was in that statement. Whenever I am editing photos, especially landscape, I remember clearly in my head what the actual scenery looked like and how I felt and imagined the end result to be, in my final edit. No matter the shutter speed, aperture or ISO settings I use on my Nikon camera, I clearly focus on the atmosphere, the mood, the emotions going on around me and that is what sets the tone for my photos.
Photography to me is to capture someone's attention, not everyone but someone. I love and appreciate Professional Photographers, who share their lows and highs, their tips and simply their time online with the likes of myself, a dedicated enthusiast. I have learnt so much from just reading tips and advice from other Pro Photographers and it has definitely bettered me in my ability to deliver what I want to share with others what I see behind the lens.
